Job Description
We're looking for an Electronics/Embedded Engineer to design and integrate the electronic control systems that power our motion simulators and arcade gaming machines. You'll work on sensor and motor selection, embedded firmware, and ensuring hardware talks reliably to game software and motion mechanisms.
Key Responsibilities
- Design electronic circuits and control systems for motion platforms and arcade cabinets (PCB-level and system-level)
- Select and integrate sensors (IMU, encoders, proximity, force, limit switches, etc.) suited to real-time motion feedback
- Select and drive motors, actuators, and gearboxes (DC, servo, stepper) with appropriate motor drivers/ESCs
- Develop firmware on Arduino, ESP32, and STM32 platforms for real-time control loops
- Work with Raspberry Pi for embedded Linux applications (I/O handling, communication bridges)
- Implement communication protocols between motion hardware and game software (serial, I2C, SPI, USB, Bluetooth/WiFi)
- Build and test power distribution, motor driver circuits, and basic safety interlocks (e-stop, current limiting)
- Debug hardware-firmware-software integration issues during prototyping and testing
- Collaborate with mechanical and game-design teams to align electronics with motion requirements and gameplay timing
- Prepare schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation
- Support testing, calibration, and safety validation of motion systems
Required Skills & Experience
- B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Electronics, Electrical, Instrumentation, or related field
- 2+ years in embedded systems/electronics design, robotics, or automation
- Hands-on programming in Arduino (C/C++), ESP32, and STM32
- Working knowledge of Raspberry Pi (Linux-based development, Python/C++)
- Practical knowledge of motor control — DC, stepper, servo motors, gearboxes, and their drivers
- Understanding of sensors (IMU/accelerometer/gyro, encoders, hall effect, load cells)
- Familiarity with communication protocols: UART, I2C, SPI, USB
- Basic circuit design/PCB layout exposure (Eagle, KiCad, or Altium)
- Comfortable reading schematics and debugging with oscilloscope/multimeter
Preferred / Nice to Have
- Prior exposure to motion simulators, arcade machines, or amusement control systems
- Basic knowledge of PID/control loops for motion stability
- Familiarity with wireless protocols (BLE, WiFi) for game-hardware sync
- Basic understanding of game engines/software (Unity, etc.)
