Role : Compliance Executive - Project Compliance (Contract, Mumbai)
In this role, you will support project compliance activities in a fast-moving environment, working closely with project teams, customers, and subcontractors on a 5 to 6 month third-party contract in Mumbai.
We are looking for immediate joiners who bring strong compliance discipline, project exposure, and confident Excel skills will be well suited to this opportunity.
Role Overview
This role is focused on project compliance execution, documentation, and follow-up. You will help maintain accurate records, support statutory and project-related compliance requirements, and ensure submission timelines are met across active project work.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, review, and maintain project compliance documents, registers, and trackers.
- Support statutory compliance activities related to project execution and site documentation.
- Coordinate with the project team, subcontractors, and customer representatives to gather and validate required information.
- Track submitted documents, remarks, and pending actions, and follow up until closure.
- Support audit readiness by organizing records and assisting with on-site or document-based compliance checks.
- Assist with applicable registrations, licenses, and compliance submissions required for project work.
- Maintain accurate data in Excel and other MS Office tools for reporting and follow-up.
- Help resolve non-compliance issues by coordinating responses and ensuring timely updates.
How You Will Do It
- Keep records accurate, complete, and easy to trace so every submission can be reviewed and closed without confusion.
- Stay close to the project team and site needs to understand compliance requirements early and prevent last-minute gaps.
- Use Excel as a working tool for control and follow-up, maintaining trackers, lists, and status updates with discipline.
- Own open items with accountability by following through on remarks, queries, and pending approvals until closure.
- Work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders so project, compliance, and subcontractor inputs stay aligned.
- Look for practical ways to improve the process by simplifying documentation flow, reducing rework, and making reporting clearer.
Qualifications
- 3 to 7 years of experience in compliance, preferably in project-related environments.
- Experience supporting compliance documentation, registers, audits, or statutory follow-up.
- Good command of MS Excel and MS Office.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to coordinate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet deadlines.
- Working knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards related to project compliance.
- Immediate availability for a 5 to 6 month contract in Mumbai.
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Commerce, Business Administration, Social Work, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Nice to Have
- Exposure to IBMS industry project roles.
- Experience supporting BOCW, ISMW, or CLRA-related compliance activities.
- Familiarity with third-party or contractual project environments.
- Experience working with subcontractor compliance documentation and audit responses.
