A Soft Services Manager is responsible for managing and supervising non-technical support services that contribute to the cleanliness, comfort, and overall appearance of the property. These services generally include housekeeping, pest control, landscaping, waste management, and sometimes concierge services. The main objective of the Soft Services Manager is to ensure that the residential complex remains clean, hygienic, well maintained, and pleasant for residents and visitors.

One of the primary responsibilities of a Soft Services Manager is supervising housekeeping operations within the residential tower. This includes maintaining cleanliness in common areas such as lobbies, corridors, staircases, elevators, parking areas, clubhouses, and recreational spaces. The manager ensures that housekeeping staff follow proper cleaning schedules and maintain high standards of hygiene. Regular inspections are conducted to ensure that all areas of the property are well maintained.

Another important responsibility is managing housekeeping staff and service providers. The Soft Services Manager supervises housekeeping supervisors, cleaners, and other support staff. They prepare duty schedules, assign tasks, and monitor staff performance to ensure efficient service delivery. The manager may also coordinate with external housekeeping agencies or contractors responsible for providing cleaning services in the building.

The Soft Services Manager is also responsible for pest control management. Residential towers require regular pest control treatments to prevent issues such as insects, rodents, or other pests. The manager coordinates with pest control service providers to schedule treatments and ensure that all common areas and critical locations are treated properly to maintain hygiene and safety.

Another key duty is waste management and garbage disposal. The manager ensures that waste is collected, segregated, and disposed of properly according to local municipal guidelines. Proper waste management practices help maintain cleanliness, reduce environmental impact, and prevent unpleasant odors or health hazards in the residential complex.

The Soft Services Manager also oversees landscaping and gardening services in the residential tower. This includes maintaining gardens, lawns, plants, and green areas within the property. The manager ensures that gardening staff properly water, trim, and maintain plants to enhance the visual appeal of the property.

Another responsibility is maintaining hygiene and sanitation standards. The manager ensures that cleaning materials and equipment are used properly and that housekeeping staff follow correct sanitation procedures. This is especially important in areas such as restrooms, garbage rooms, and common facilities where hygiene must be strictly maintained.

The Soft Services Manager also works closely with other departments such as engineering, security, and property management. Coordination with the engineering team may be required if maintenance issues such as water leakage or drainage problems affect housekeeping operations. Similarly, coordination with security staff may be necessary for managing cleaning activities in restricted or high-security areas.

Regular inspection and quality control are also important parts of the role. The manager conducts routine inspections of the building premises to check the quality of cleaning, pest control, and waste

 

management services. Any issues identified during inspections are addressed immediately to maintain service standards.

The Soft Services Manager is also responsible for inventory and supply management related to housekeeping materials. This includes managing cleaning equipment, chemicals, uniforms, and other supplies required for housekeeping operations. Proper inventory management ensures that staff always have the necessary resources to perform their duties.
