They also leverage our global strength and scalability to drive HR-related technology, projects and processes that allow EY to deliver against the changing requirements to enable success. Your key responsibilities

Technical Excellence

  • Job Summary: As a Senior Manager – Employee Relations, you will be a strategic partner responsible for a service line and will lead complex ER cases, drive proactive ER initiatives, and contribute to the design and implementation of the ER governance framework across EY India. You will play a critical role in building a fair, compliant, and inclusive workplace culture by managing high-risk ER matters, advising leadership, mentoring ER Advisors, and leading various ER initiatives. Key Responsibilities: 1. ER Case Management & Advisory
  • Lead and resolve high-risk, complex employee relations cases (e.g., misconduct, grievance, performance, and disciplinary matters) with fairness, consistency, and compliance.
  • Provide expert ER advisory support to HR Business Partners, leaders, talent partners.
  • Oversee documentation and ensure adherence to internal processes and legal standards. 2. Framework & Governance Implementation
  • Support the Director–ER in rolling out the ER operating model, policies, and tools across service lines.
  • Drive adherence to ER governance protocols, ensuring role clarity among ER Advisors, and Ops team. 3. Capability Building & Proactive ER
  • Lead ER training and awareness programs for business leaders, HR teams, and employees.
  • Analyse ER trends and insights to recommend proactive interventions and culture-enhancing initiatives. 4. Risk Mitigation & Compliance
  • Partner with Legal, Compliance, and Risk teams to ensure regulatory compliance in ER processes.
  • Participate in audits, investigations, and periodic reviews of ER protocols. 5. Stakeholder Engagement
  • Work closely with service line leadership, Talent consultants, and Legal as needed.
  • Act as a trusted advisor in sensitive ER situations and organizational changes (e.g., restructuring, exit strategy). ________________________________________ Skills and Competencies:
  • Deep expertise in Indian labour laws, employment policies, and workplace compliance.
  • Strong investigation, analytical, and conflict resolution skills.
  • High emotional intelligence, discretion, and sound judgment.
  • Ability to work independently and handle ambiguity.
  • Strong people management skills
  • Strong stakeholder management, facilitation, and influencing skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication. ________________________________________ Qualifications and Experience:
  • LLB, Postgraduate in HR, Law, or related field preferred.
  • 15+ years of experience in Legal/ HR/ Employee Relations, including experience managing complex ER cases.
  • Prior experience in a Big 4, consulting, or a large matrixed organization preferred.
  • Exposure to ER frameworks, tools, and governance models is an advantage. ________________________________________ What We Offer:

Skills and attributes

To qualify for the role you must have
Qualification

  • Master of Business Administration
  • PG Diploma in Human Resource Management
  • LL.B.

Experience

  • Employee Relations/ Legal (10+ Years)
