Job Summary:-The Shift Manager is responsible for overseeing daily café operations during assigned shifts, ensuring excellent customer service, smooth team performance, food safety compliance, and achievement of operational targets. The role requires hands-on leadership, strong people management, and a customer-first mindset.

• Key ResponsibilitiesOperations & Customer ExperienceManage day-to-day café operations during assigned shifts
• Ensure high standards of customer service and guest satisfaction
• Handle customer queries, complaints, and feedback effectively
• Ensure food & beverage quality, consistency, and presentation standards
• Team ManagementLead, supervise, and motivate café staff during shifts
• Allocate duties and manage shift schedules efficiently
• Train new team members on SOPs, service standards, and hygiene practices
• Monitor staff attendance, grooming, and discipline
• Sales & PerformanceDrive sales through upselling and service excellence
• Achieve shift-level sales, productivity, and cost control targets
• Monitor cash handling, billing accuracy, and shift closure
• Assist in inventory checks and stock control
• Quality, Safety & ComplianceEnsure adherence to food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards
• Follow company SOPs, health & safety, and statutory compliance norms
• Conduct regular on-shift quality, cleanliness, and safety checks
• Reporting & CoordinationPrepare shift reports, cash reports, and handover notes
• Coordinate with the Store Manager for staffing, inventory, and operational issues
• Escalate maintenance, safety, or operational concerns in a timely manner

• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Good problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Basic understanding of POS systems and cash handling
• Qualifications & ExperienceGraduate / Diploma in Hospitality or equivalent (preferred)
• Minimum 1–3 years of experience in café, QSR, or restaurant operations
• Prior experience as Team Leader / Shift Supervisor will be an advantage
• Work ConditionsWillingness to work in rotational shifts, weekends, and holidays
• Standing for long hours as per operational requirements
