Planning Engineer

Key responsibilities:

• Develop detailed project schedules (short-, medium-, and long-term) using industry-standard tools and methodologies.
• Prepare resource loading and leveling plans for manpower, equipment, and materials across multiple projects.
• Coordinate with design, procurement, and site execution teams to translate design outputs into executable work plans.
• Track project progress, identify variances, and recommend corrective actions to maintain on-time delivery.
• Create and maintain Bill of Quantities (BOQ), material take-offs, and procurement lead-time calendars in collaboration with procurement.
• Support cost estimation and budget tracking related to planning activities.
• Develop risk registers and contingency plans for critical path activities and major deliveries.
• Monitor subcontractor schedules and coordinate handovers and site mobilization.
• Prepare regular planning reports, dashboards, and presentations for senior management and clients.
• Implement and maintain standardized planning procedures, templates, and best practices.
• Ensure planning activities comply with statutory requirements, fire codes (NBC, NFPA where applicable), and client-specific safety standards.
• Participate in project reviews, pre-bid planning sessions, and post-project lessons-learned workshops.
