Job description:

 

Performance test Engineer

 

Experienc required: 8-10 years

 

Role Summary

Seeking a seasoned Performance Test Engineer to independently own end-to-end performance testing for cloud-native enterprise applications. The candidate must be expert in JMeter, LoadRunner, Kubernetes, containerization, and observability tools (Lens, Grafana, Prometheus), with proven ability to strategize, execute, analyze, and report performance outcomes without day-to-day supervision.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Own performance test strategy, planning, execution, and reporting for web, API, and microservices platforms.
• Design and maintain load, stress, soak, spike, and scalability test scripts using JMeter and LoadRunner (VuGen, Controller, Analysis).
• Provision and manage performance test environments on Kubernetes; use Docker/containerization for distributed load generation.
• Monitor and analyze metrics via Lens, Grafana, and Prometheus; perform RCA across application, database, and infrastructure layers.
• Define NFRs, SLAs, and performance acceptance criteria; deliver test plans, dashboards, and executive-ready recommendations.
• Integrate performance tests into CI/CD pipelines; partner with Dev, DevOps, and architecture teams in Agile delivery.
• Lead capacity planning, bottleneck analysis, and production readiness sign-off independently.

 

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 8 – 10 years in performance testing/engineering for enterprise web, mobile, and API applications.
• Expert in Apache JMeter (distributed testing, correlation, assertions) and Micro Focus LoadRunner.
• Hands-on Kubernetes cluster management, Docker, Helm charts, and cloud-native architecture.
• Proficiency with Lens, Grafana (dashboards/alerts), and Prometheus (metrics, PromQL).
• Strong knowledge of performance methodologies, workload modeling, APM tools, and KPI reporting.
• Experience analyzing CPU, memory, I/O, JVM/thread dumps, and SQL/NoSQL database performance under load.
• Understanding of REST APIs, microservices, message brokers (Kafka/RabbitMQ), and CI/CD integration.
• Scripting in Java, Python, or Groovy; strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

 

Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field. Equivalent professional experience will be considered.
