Jewellery Designer

Job Summary

We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented CAD Designer to create high-quality 3D jewellery designs, including Gold, Diamond, and Hip Hop Jewellery, based on client requirements, market trends, and production feasibility. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of jewellery manufacturing processes and be proficient in jewellery CAD software.

Key Responsibilities

• Create accurate 3D CAD models of rings, earrings, pendants, bangles, bracelets, necklaces, chains, and other jewellery.
• Design Hip Hop Jewellery, including Cuban chains, pendants, grills, bracelets, rings, earrings, and custom jewellery pieces.
• Convert hand sketches, reference images, or customer concepts into production-ready CAD designs.
• Ensure designs meet manufacturing, stone-setting, casting, and production standards.
• Modify existing CAD files as per client feedback or production requirements.
• Coordinate with the Sales, Merchandising, and Production teams to ensure timely design completion.
• Prepare files for 3D printing, resin printing, and CAM processes.
• Maintain proper records and organize CAD files for future reference.
• Follow company quality standards, design specifications, and project timelines.
• Stay updated with the latest jewellery design trends, including Hip Hop, fashion, and international market trends.

Required Skills

• Proficiency in Rhino, MatrixGold, or other jewellery CAD software.
• Knowledge of jewellery manufacturing, casting, stone setting, polishing, and production processes.
• Good understanding of dimensions, tolerances, metal weight, gemstone settings, and production feasibility.
• Strong creativity with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple design projects and meet deadlines.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree/Certification in Jewellery Design, CAD Design, or a related field.
• Certification in Matrix Gold, or equivalent jewellery CAD software is preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in designing Gold, Diamond, and Hip Hop Jewellery.
• Knowledge of custom jewellery, micro pave, prong setting, iced-out jewellery, and 3D printing/CAM file preparation.
• Ability to create innovative, trend-driven jewellery collections for domestic and international markets.
