Project & Service Engineer (Rooftop Solar Projects)

Reporting To: Project Manager / Senior Project Engineer

Location: Site Based / Office + Site Coordination

Role Purpose

The Project Engineer will be responsible for end-to-end execution and monitoring of rooftop solar projects including planning, site execution, installation supervision, testing, commissioning, client coordination, and project handover.

Key Responsibilities

🔹 Project Execution

·      Execute residential, commercial, and industrial rooftop solar projects.

·      Supervise installation of modules, MMS structure, inverters, DC & AC systems.

·      Monitor daily site activities and execution progress.

·      Ensure project completion as per approved design and drawings.

🔹 Site Coordination

·      Coordinate with vendors, contractors, electricians, and installation teams.

·      Manage manpower deployment and daily work allocation.

·      Coordinate with internal design, procurement, and accounts teams.

·      Resolve on-site technical and execution issues.

🔹 Material & Inventory Monitoring

·      Verify site material receipt and consumption.

·      Track project-wise inventory and material utilization.

·      Coordinate material requirements with warehouse and procurement teams.

🔹 Testing & Commissioning

·      Assist / supervise testing and commissioning activities.

·      Verify earthing, cable routing, inverter commissioning, and system operation.

·      Ensure quality checks before project energization.

·      Support net-metering and inspection processes where required.

🔹 Documentation & Reporting

·      Prepare daily site progress reports.

·      Maintain installation checklists and commissioning records.

·      Ensure project documentation is completed properly.

·      Handover completed projects with required documents.

🔹 Client Coordination

·      Coordinate with clients during execution and commissioning stages.

·      Provide project status updates.

·      Support issue resolution and post-handover coordination when required.

🔹 Safety & Compliance

·      Ensure compliance with electrical and site safety standards.

·      Monitor PPE usage and safe work practices.

·      Maintain housekeeping and site discipline.

Qualifications & Experience

·      ITI / Diploma / B.E. Electrical / Electrical & Electronics / Renewable Energy.

·      Freshers with strong practical knowledge may also be considered.

Skills & Competencies

·      Knowledge of rooftop solar systems and components.

·      Understanding of SLD, layouts, and basic electrical drawings.

·      Site execution and coordination ability.

·      Problem-solving and reporting skills.

·      Willingness to travel and work at project sites.

Remuneration / Benefits

·      Annual CTC: ₹1,80,000 to ₹2,40,000 per annum (₹15,000 to ₹20,000 per month)

·      Salary shall be offered based on technical knowledge, practical exposure, interview performance, and project understanding.
