Accounts Associate

Location: Vijaynagar, Bangalore

Working Days: Monday to Saturday, 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM

Salary: Rs. 25,000 – Rs. 27,000 per month

About Us: The Edge has manufactured customised t-shirts out of Bangalore for 25 years. We also hold ready stock of blank tees, supplied to our dealer network.

What You'll Do:

•     Tally Accounting: Handle day-to-day entries — sales invoices, purchase entries, and bookkeeping

•     Order Processing: Process customer inquiries and orders for ready stock, and understand which ones need to go out first

•     Documentation: Prepare delivery challans and generate e-way bills

•     Payment Follow-ups: Follow up with clients and middlemen on pending payments

•     Vendor & Petty Cash: Track vendor bills alongside customer payments, and handle day-to-day petty cash

•     Dispatch Coordination: Coordinate with transporters and couriers for timely dispatch of orders

•     WhatsApp Communication: Keep clients, transporters, and the team updated — prompt, clear replies, no chasing required

•     Compliance Tracking: Keep track of GST filing due dates, and support with TDS, credit notes, and debit notes

•     Paperwork: Read and work with simple documents like packing slips and delivery challans

•     Inventory Support: Pitch in on light inventory tracking for items like polybags, buttons, and thread — we're a small team, so flexibility here really helps

What We're Looking For:

•     Experience: At least 2 years of accounting experience — factory or manufacturing background is a big plus

•     Tally Skills: Strong hands-on experience with Tally

•     Tax Knowledge: Working knowledge of GST, TDS, and basic compliance timelines

•     Computer Skills: Comfortable with basic Excel and email, besides Tally

•     Communication: Good and prompt WhatsApp communication — clear, on-time updates

•     Language: Fluent in Kannada/Hindi/English, to work with factory staff, transporters, and clients

•     Paperwork Comfort: Comfortable with everyday documents — challans, packing slips, invoices

•     Follow-up Skills: Polite but persistent when it comes to collecting payments

•     Organisation: Able to judge which orders are urgent and keep things moving

•     Reliability: Punctual and consistent — our dispatch timelines depend on it

•     Flexibility: Open to helping with small, non-accounting tasks when needed
