What we are looking for

●      5+ years commercial full-stack JavaScript and TypeScript.

●      Strong Node.js — Express and NestJS.

●      MySQL: schema design, indexing, query optimisation, migrations (Sequelize / TypeORM).

●      React and Next.js in production.

●      REST and SOAP API integration; OAuth2 flows and token refresh.

●      Production debugging from logs, database and request traces.

●      Secure handling of personal and regulated data.

Roles and responsibilities

●      Maintain and support four live production platforms.

●      Build new features end to end — API, database, front end.

●      Troubleshoot and resolve production incidents.

●      Own releases: deploy, verify, roll back; design and run database migrations.

●      Maintain and extend third-party integrations.

●      Set up and maintain monitoring, alerting and logging; remediate security findings.

●      Maintain runbooks and documentation; liaise with client and vendor technical contacts.

AWS experience

●      EC2 — provisioning, SSH, security groups, sizing, patching.

●      RDS — MySQL instances, parameter groups, automated backups, snapshots, restores.

●      S3 — buckets, IAM policies, presigned URLs, CORS, lifecycle rules, encryption.

●      IAM — users, roles, least-privilege policies, key rotation.

●      CloudWatch — logs, metrics, alarms.

●      Route 53 and ACM — DNS records, TLS certificates, renewals.

●      Cost visibility and right-sizing; infrastructure as code (Terraform / CloudFormation) advantageous.

GitLab experience

●      Repository and group administration, branch protection, access control.

●      Branching strategy, merge requests, code review.

●      GitLab CI/CD — building pipelines from scratch: build, test, deploy stages.

●      Runners, CI variables, secrets and deploy tokens.

●      Environments, deployment jobs and rollback.

●      Container and package registry; issue boards and milestones.
