Job Description

A good CCTV technician should have a combination of technical skills, problem-solving ability, and professional behavior. Key qualities include:


  1. Strong knowledge of CCTV systems (IP, Analog, HD, DVR, NVR).
  2. Experience with camera installation and positioning.
  3. Good networking knowledge (IP addressing, routers, switches, PoE).
  4. Ability to troubleshoot camera, DVR/NVR, and network issues.
  5. Neat and safe cable management.
  6. Knowledge of Cat6 cable crimping, RJ45 connectors, and testing.
  7. Understanding of power supplies, SMPS, and electrical safety.
  8. Ability to configure remote viewing on mobile and PC.
  9. Basic knowledge of access control, biometric, and video door phone systems.
  10. Good communication with customers.
