Job Description
We are looking for a Field Engineer – L1 to provide on-site IT support at our client locations. The candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting hardware, networking, Wi-Fi, CCTV and other basic IT infrastructure issues.
- Key ResponsibilitiesVisit client locations for on-site IT support and troubleshooting.
- Diagnose and resolve desktop, laptop and printer-related issues.
- Install and configure Windows, software, drivers and peripherals.
- Troubleshoot LAN, Wi-Fi, switches, routers and basic network connectivity.
- Perform CAT6 cable termination and basic network testing.
- Provide basic support for CCTV, NVR/DVR and IP cameras.
- Install and troubleshoot biometric/attendance devices.
- Perform basic troubleshooting of UPS and network-rack equipment.
- Coordinate with L2 engineers, vendors and OEMs for complex issues.
- Maintain proper service reports and update tickets after every visit.
- Carry out preventive maintenance at client locations.
- Maintain proper documentation of equipment, IP addresses and network connectivity.
- Provide remote assistance to the in-house support team when required.
- Required Technical SkillsGood knowledge of Windows 10/11
- Desktop and laptop hardware troubleshooting
- Basic networking – TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, IP addressing
- Router and switch configuration – basic level
- LAN/Wi-Fi troubleshooting
- CAT6 crimping and cable testing
- Basic knowledge of CCTV/IP cameras and NVRs
- Basic knowledge of biometric/attendance systems
- Printer and peripheral troubleshooting
Remote-support tools such as AnyDesk/TeamViewer
