We are urgently hiring Phlebotomist cum Receptionist

Location: Goregaon East / West

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and responsible Phlebotomist cum Receptionist to manage patient reception, billing, sample collection, and laboratory coordination. The candidate should have excellent knowledge of diagnostic tests, strong communication skills, and the ability to provide a professional patient experience.

Key Responsibilities

Phlebotomy & Sample Collection

• Perform venous and capillary blood collection accurately and safely.
• Collect samples for blood, urine, stool, swab, and other diagnostic tests as per protocol.
• Ensure proper patient identification before sample collection.
• Label, process, store, and dispatch samples correctly.
• Follow infection control, biomedical waste management, and safety guidelines.
• Handle difficult venipuncture cases professionally.
• Conduct home sample collection when required.

Reception & Front Desk Management

• Welcome and assist patients courteously.
• Register patients and maintain accurate records.
• Schedule appointments and manage patient inquiries.
• Coordinate with laboratory staff and doctors regarding test requirements and reports.
• Handle telephone calls, WhatsApp inquiries, and follow-ups.

Billing & Administration

• Generate bills accurately using laboratory software.
• Process cash, UPI, card, and online payments.
• Maintain daily billing and collection records.
• Verify test requisitions and package selections.
• Prepare daily reports and support administrative tasks.

Test Knowledge

• Must have good knowledge of routine and specialized laboratory investigations.
• Explain test preparation requirements to patients (fasting, timing, etc.).
• Understand test profiles, health packages, and sample requirements.
• Guide patients regarding report availability and collection procedures.

Required Skills

• Excellent phlebotomy and sample collection skills.
• Strong knowledge of diagnostic tests and laboratory procedures.
• Experience in billing and laboratory software.
• Good communication and patient-handling skills.
• Basic computer proficiency (MS Office, email, billing software).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Qualification

• DMLT / MLT / BMLT or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 1–2 years of experience in diagnostic laboratory or healthcare setting preferred.
• Experience in both phlebotomy and front-desk operations will be an advantage.
