Job description

Responsible for maintaining effective data security strategies and controls to protect sensitive and confidential information from unauthorized access alteration or destruction

Success in this role requires exceptional problemsolving skills strong interpersonal skills with a positive attitude the ability to articulate thoughts and ideas and a passion for seeing them to fruition

Capacity planning based on business demands

Diagnosing performance and connectivity related issues

Provides proactive support for enterprise storage and backup solutions by ensuring all monitoring ing and security standards are maintained

Serves as an L3 escalation for storage and data protection issues

Participates in a rotating oncall for offhours critical storage and data protection escalations

Document and maintain the backup replication and archival policies in alignment with our global commitments

Coordinates and leads projects as required

Provide daily support for our storage and data protection environments

Nasuni The provisioning and support of storage which is characterized as Nasuni

Backup

Backup Services HPE 3 PAR The provision of data backup and recovery services encompassing scheduled backups offsite storage data encryption compliance with retention policies and defined recovery objectives The backup services also include Tape Backup leveraging HP StoreOnce For tapes library drives and media servers are from HPE which integrates with Data protector from Microfocus to operate backups The Backup Appliance Software used are Data Protector Microfocus RMAN SRM VMWare tools Database backup software Oracle Data Guard Avamar PPDM DD DD Boost and Iomart for Offsite Backups

Knowledge Experience Skills

A strong understanding of protecting workloads in VMware Cloud on AWS

Experience automating administration and monitoring of storage and backup systems

Proven record of implementing automation in a storage environment

5 years of handson experience in managing Rubrik and NetBackup solutions

Experience with cloud and tapebased archive technologies principles and best practices

10 years of experience and a deep understanding of Storage technologies including Pure Storage NetApp DellEMC VMAX VNX Unity and Data Domain

Strong knowledge of storagerelated connectivity protocols and technologies eg SAN NAS Block NFS SMB

Brocade SAN fabric management

Experience with boot from SAN

Experience with technologies such as Terraform Ansible or Grafana is a plus
