Cloud Operations - Manager

Educational qualifications
•Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Information Technology, or a related field.
•Master’s degree in Cybersecurity, Cloud Computing, or Information Systems is preferred.
•Equivalent practical experience may be considered for exceptional candidates.

Work Experience
•7–10 years in cloud security operations with progressive leadership experience in cloud security monitoring, CSPM, and SaaS security programs.
•Lead and manage day-to-day Cloud Security Monitoring operations including CSPM monitoring, cloud workload threat monitoring, SaaS security monitoring, and Shadow IT detection using Microsoft Defender for Cloud and Microsoft Defender for Cloud Apps/CASB.
•Oversee onboarding activities for cloud security monitoring engagements: confirm cloud scope, validate tool availability and licensing, assess deployment maturity, and coordinate access across cloud subscriptions, IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS tenants.
•Manage configuration, refinement, and validation of Microsoft Defender for Cloud workload protection capabilities for in-scope cloud workloads including virtual machines, databases, and related cloud services.
•Oversee Microsoft Defender for Cloud Apps/CASB onboarding and operations for SaaS security monitoring, Shadow IT detection, risky application activity monitoring, and data exfiltration indicators.
•Drive SaaS application onboarding during run operations, coordinating with application owners, managing connector/API availability, access approvals, and configuration requirements.
•Define and maintain cloud-specific SOPs, runbooks, alert tuning frameworks, severity mapping, and exception handling procedures.
•Coordinate with relevant stakeholders on remediation tracking, risk disposition, change approvals, and escalation handling.
•Manage and report on operational KPIs and SLAs; prepare monthly Cloud Security Monitoring and SaaS/Shadow IT reporting inputs for leadership.
•Support L2/L3 investigation for escalated cloud-related alerts and findings, providing technical guidance to team members.
•Lead a team of Senior Associates and Associates, providing mentorship, workload management, and performance oversight.
