Job Description – Sales Executive / Sales Manager


Position Overview

The Sales Executive/Manager will be responsible for generating new business, managing client relationships, achieving monthly revenue targets, and expanding the company’s presence across assigned regions and verticals. The role demands strong communication, negotiation, and strategic planning skills.


Key Responsibilities

1. Business DevelopmentIdentify new business opportunities in assigned territories and sectors.

  • Conduct market research to understand customer needs, competition, and industry trends.
  • Generate and manage a robust sales pipeline through cold calling, field visits, and networking.
  • Develop channel partners and maintain distributor relationships where applicable.

2. Sales & Target AchievementAchieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.

  • Present product demos and conduct client meetings to close deals.
  • Prepare and negotiate pricing proposals as per company guidelines.
  • Follow up on leads shared by marketing, inbound enquiries, and referrals.

3. Client Relationship ManagementMaintain strong relationships with key clients and provide after-sales support.

  • Understand customer challenges and propose the right solutions.
  • Ensure timely collection of payments and maintain healthy cash flow.
  • Handle customer escalations effectively.

4. Reporting & DocumentationUpdate CRM daily with leads, follow-ups, meetings, and closures.

  • Share daily sales reports (DSR) and weekly progress summaries.
  • Maintain proposal documents, agreements, and contract records.
  • Coordinate with internal departments (Support, Accounts, Projects) for smooth delivery.

5. Cross-Department CoordinationWork with the marketing team to plan campaigns and generate leads.

  • Coordinate with the technical team to ensure proper product demos and implementations.
  • Provide market feedback to product teams to enhance offerings.

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and achieve targets.
  • Good understanding of CRM tools (HubSpot/Salesforce/Zoho or similar).
  • Self-motivated and result oriented.
  • Problem-solving attitude and strong follow-up habits.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and email communication.
  • Educational QualificationGraduate in any discipline (BBA/MBA Preferred).
  • Background in IT/Telematics/SaaS sales will be an added advantage.
  • Experience RequiredSales Executive: 1–3 years
  • Sales Manager: 3–7 years
  • (Industry: Telematics, SaaS, IT Solutions, Fleet Management, ERP, or related fields preferred)
