Job Description
The Sales Manager is responsible for leading the sales team, achieving monthly and annual sales targets, improving customer satisfaction, and ensuring smooth sales operations. The role involves team management, sales planning, customer relationship management, and dealership profitability.
- Key ResponsibilitiesSales & Business DevelopmentAchieve monthly, quarterly, and annual vehicle sales targets.
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to increase market share.
- Monitor daily sales activities and ensure target achievement.
- Generate retail, exchange, and corporate sales opportunities.
- Plan and execute promotional campaigns and sales events.
- Team ManagementRecruit, train, motivate, and mentor Sales Executives.
- Conduct daily morning meetings and review sales performance.
- Assign daily leads and monitor follow-up activities.
- Evaluate employee performance and provide regular feedback.
- Ensure discipline, grooming, and adherence to company policies.
- Customer Relationship ManagementEnsure excellent customer service throughout the sales process.
- Handle customer complaints and resolve escalated issues promptly.
- Monitor customer satisfaction and encourage positive feedback.
- Ensure timely delivery of vehicles with proper documentation.
- Sales OperationsMonitor inquiry management, bookings, deliveries, and pending cases.
- Maintain accurate sales reports and MIS.
- Coordinate with Finance, Insurance, Exchange, Accessories, and Registration teams for seamless vehicle delivery.
- Ensure proper stock planning and inventory coordination.
- Market IntelligenceMonitor competitor pricing, schemes, and market trends.
- Identify new business opportunities and customer segments.
- Submit regular market feedback to management.
- ComplianceEnsure compliance with dealership SOPs and manufacturer guidelines.
- Maintain proper documentation for all sales transactions.
- Follow all statutory and company policies.
- Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)Monthly vehicle sales target achievement.
- Retail conversion percentage.
- Inquiry-to-sale conversion ratio.
- Customer Satisfaction (CSI) score.
- Finance and insurance penetration.
