Management Level: 07 - Manager Location: Bangalore / Gurgaon Must have skills: Backend Development (.NET / Golang / Java / Node.js), Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, Relational Databases (PostgreSQL / MySQL), Unit & Integration Testing, hands-on experience with AI coding tools (Cursor / Claude) Good to have skills: Frontend Development (React / Angular / HTML) Experience: Minimum 10 year(s) of experience is required Educational Qualification: B.Tech / BE Job Summary: As a Principal Engineer, you will be the technical anchor for the Accenture LearnVantage (ALV) product - setting the development workflow, driving architecture and design decisions, and raising the engineering bar across teams. You will be deeply hands-on in code, guide multiple squads, and shape how the platform evolves technically over time. Roles & Responsibilities: Define and evolve the development workflow, engineering standards, and best practices across ALV teams. Lead key architecture and design decisions; guide services through significant technical evolution while keeping existing systems stable and supported. Stay deeply hands-on: prototype, build critical components, and review code to set the standard. Partner with internal and external teams to turn ambiguous requirements into sound technical designs and actionable plans. Mentor engineers and managers; act as a technical multiplier across the unit. Champion the adoption of AI development tools (Cursor / Claude) and modern testing/CI practices. Professional & Technical Skills: Must To Have Skills: Deep proficiency in one or more backend stacks (.NET / Golang / Java / Node.js), with the ability to work across them. Strong hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, and relational databases (PostgreSQL / MySQL). First-hand experience writing unit and integration tests and establishing testing standards. Minimum 1 year of experience using AI coding tools (Cursor / Claude); evidence of championing these tools at their org/unit. Experience leading/mentoring engineering teams (minimum team size of 3) in a technical capacity. Comfortable working in a MacBook (macOS) professional environment. Good to have: working knowledge of frontend development (React / Angular / HTML).
