Job Description
Site Supervisor (1–2 Years Experience)
Responsibilities
Site Supervision
- Supervise daily construction activities and ensure work is carried out according to approved drawings and project specifications.
- Monitor the progress of work and report updates to the Site Engineer or Project Manager.
- Ensure construction activities are completed on schedule while maintaining quality standards.
Workforce Management
- Supervise skilled and unskilled labor on-site.
- Assign daily tasks to workers and monitor productivity.
- Coordinate with subcontractors to ensure smooth execution of work.
Quality Control
- Inspect ongoing work to ensure compliance with project requirements and quality standards.
- Identify defects or issues and ensure corrective actions are taken promptly.
- Assist in maintaining proper workmanship and material quality.
Material and Equipment Management
- Monitor the receipt, storage, and usage of construction materials.
- Maintain records of material consumption and report shortages.
- Ensure tools and equipment are used safely and maintained in good working condition.
Health and Safety
- Enforce site safety rules and ensure workers use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Conduct daily safety briefings and identify potential workplace hazards.
- Report accidents, incidents, or unsafe conditions to the Site Engineer immediately.
Coordination and Communication
- Coordinate with engineers, contractors, suppliers, and workers to ensure smooth site operations.
- Communicate daily work progress, delays, and site issues to supervisors.
- Support project teams in resolving minor site-related challenges.
Documentation and Reporting
- Maintain daily site reports, attendance records, and work progress logs.
- Record material deliveries and site activities accurately.
- Assist in preparing reports required by project management.
Skills and Qualifications
Educational Background
- Minimum qualification: 12th Pass (Higher Secondary).
- Diploma in Civil Engineering or certification in construction/site supervision is an added advantage.
Technical Knowledge
- Basic understanding of construction methods, building materials, and site practices.
- Ability to read and interpret basic construction drawings.
- Familiarity with measuring tools and basic construction equipment.
