JOB DESCRIPTION – STORE KEEPER

Position: Store Keeper

Department: Stores / Operations

Industry: Diesel Generator Sales & Service

Location: Chennai

Experience: 1–3 Years

• Maintain proper stock records for DG spare parts, tools, consumables, and equipment.
• Issue materials to service engineers and other departments as per approved requirements.
• Update stock entries in Tally / Excel / ERP on a regular basis.
• Monitor minimum and maximum stock levels and inform management about shortages.
• Maintain proper documentation for material receipts, issues, returns, and transfers.
• Conduct regular physical stock verification and reconcile discrepancies.
• Ensure proper storage, identification, and safe handling of materials.
• Coordinate with the Purchase and Service departments for material requirements.
• Maintain cleanliness and proper arrangement of the store.
• Prepare daily/weekly/monthly stock reports when required.
• Track damaged, unused, and obsolete materials and report them to management.
• RequirementsITI / Diploma / Any relevant qualification.
• 1–3 years of experience in a Store / Warehouse / Automobile / DG Service environment.
• Knowledge of Tally, MS Excel, and basic computer operations.
• Good knowledge of inventory and stock management.
• Ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Candidates with experience in automobile, generator, or engineering companies will be preferred.
