Tamil Teacher – Online

Position: Tamil Teacher

Mode of Work: Online / Remote

Employment Type: Full-Time

Salary: ₹18K – ₹25K per month

Experience: Minimum 1 year preferred

About the Role

Sunbeam World School is looking for a passionate and dedicated Online Tamil Teacher to deliver engaging and effective Tamil language instruction through virtual classrooms.

The ideal candidate should have excellent proficiency in Tamil, strong communication skills, and the ability to effectively engage students in an online learning environment. A native Tamil speaker is preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct engaging and interactive online Tamil classes for students.

• Plan and deliver lessons covering Tamil language, grammar, vocabulary, reading, writing, and literature as per the prescribed curriculum.

• Prepare digital lesson plans, presentations, worksheets, activities, and other online learning resources.

• Use virtual teaching platforms and digital tools effectively to facilitate learning.

• Encourage student participation and maintain engagement throughout online classes.

• Assess students through online assignments, tests, activities, and class participation.

• Track and report students' academic progress and provide constructive feedback.

• Provide additional academic support to students who require assistance.

• Maintain a positive, disciplined, and student-friendly virtual classroom environment.

• Communicate effectively with parents and school management regarding students' progress when required.

• Participate in online staff meetings, training sessions, school events, and other academic activities.

Educational Qualification

• Bachelor's Degree from a recognized university.

• Bachelor's/Master's degree in Tamil, Tamil Literature, Education, or a related field will be preferred.

• B.Ed. or relevant teaching qualification will be an added advantage.

Experience

• Minimum 1 year of teaching experience preferred.

• Experience in online/virtual teaching will be an advantage.

• Freshers with excellent Tamil proficiency and relevant qualifications may also be considered.

Required Skills

• Excellent command of Tamil language – spoken and written.

• Strong pronunciation, grammar, vocabulary, and communication skills.

• Ability to teach effectively through online platforms.

• Strong presentation and classroom engagement skills.

• Comfortable using Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, digital whiteboards, presentations, and other online teaching tools.

• Good interpersonal, organizational, and time-management skills.

• Patience, creativity, and enthusiasm for teaching children.

• Ability to create an interactive and engaging virtual learning environment.

Preferred Candidate

• Native Tamil speaker preferred.

• Candidates with strong knowledge of Tamil language and culture will be given preference.

• Candidates with prior experience in online teaching will be preferred.

• Immediate joiners preferred.

Technical Requirements

• Reliable high-speed internet connection.

• Laptop/Desktop with a functional webcam and microphone.

• Comfortable conducting classes using online teaching platforms.

• A quiet and professional environment suitable for conducting virtual classes.
