Head Chef

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead our kitchen operations. The Head Chef will be responsible for menu planning, food preparation, staff management, inventory control, food quality, and ensuring compliance with hygiene and safety standards. The ideal candidate should have strong leadership skills, culinary expertise, and the ability to manage a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee all kitchen operations.
• Plan, create, and update menus based on customer preferences and seasonal availability.
• Ensure food quality, presentation, and consistency.
• Supervise, train, and motivate kitchen staff.
• Monitor food costs and kitchen budgets.
• Manage inventory, stock levels, and supplier relationships.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health regulations.
• Schedule kitchen staff shifts and manage workforce requirements.
• Inspect food ingredients and finished dishes for quality standards.
• Resolve kitchen issues and maintain smooth daily operations.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen equipment and work areas.
• Coordinate with management to achieve business objectives.

Required Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Culinary Arts or Hospitality Management.
• 5+ years of experience in a professional kitchen.
• Previous experience as Sous Chef or Head Chef.
• Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
