Associate Manager - Electrical Commissioning
Responsibilities
- Execute pre-commissioning and commissioning activities for electrical systems including generators, transformers, switchgear (HT/LT), GIS/AIS, and protection systems.
- Coordinate with EPC contractors, vendors, and internal teams to ensure timely completion of commissioning milestones.
- Perform inspection, testing, calibration, and energization of electrical equipment as per approved procedures.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, statutory regulations, and quality norms during commissioning activities.
- Monitor and troubleshoot electrical faults during trial runs and stabilization phases.
- Review commissioning protocols, test reports, and technical documentation.
- Participate in synchronization activities of units with the grid and ensure smooth load ramp-up.
- Maintain documentation related to commissioning activities, test results, and deviations.
- Support performance guarantee tests (PGT) and reliability run activities.
- Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and maintain coordination across cross-functional teams (Mechanical, C&I, Operations).
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (B.E./B.Tech) is mandatory.
- Diploma in Electrical Engineering may be considered with relevant experience.
