Position : Site Engineer

Location : Pan India (As per Project Requirement)

Reporting To : Project Manager / Operations Manager

Job Summary:

The Site Engineer shall be responsible for the execution of electrical testing, commissioning, maintenance,auditing, and project-related activities at client sites. The role requires technical expertise, projectcoordination skills, leadership capabilities, and the ability to manage client relationships while ensuringquality, safety, and timely project completion.

Key Responsibilities

1. Site Execution – Testing, Commissioning & Maintenance

• Execute electrical testing and commissioning activities for HT/LT electrical systems.
• Perform testing of transformers, switchgear, protective relays, circuit breakers, cables, motors, DGsets, and earthing systems.
• Execute preventive and predictive maintenance activities as per project scope.
• Ensure compliance with applicable standards, procedures, and safety requirements.
• Prepare and maintain site execution records and test reports.

2. Electrical Safety Audit & Energy Audit

• Conduct Electrical Safety Audits as per relevant statutory and industry standards.
• Execute Energy Audits and Energy Efficiency Assessments.
• Identify electrical hazards, energy-saving opportunities, and system improvementrecommendations.
• Collect and analyze site data required for audit reports.
• Support preparation and presentation of audit findings to clients.

3. Instrument Handling & Management

• Operate and maintain electrical testing and measuring instruments.
• Ensure proper handling, transportation, storage, and calibration of instruments.
• Verify accuracy and reliability of test results.
• Maintain instrument utilization and calibration records.

4. Project Planning & Coordination

• Plan site activities and allocate resources for efficient project execution.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, vendors, and internal teams.
• Monitor project schedules, milestones, and deliverables.
• Identify project risks and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure projects are completed within agreed timelines and quality standards.

5. Client Handling & Communication

• Act as the primary technical point of contact at site.
• Conduct site meetings and communicate project progress to clients.
• Address client concerns and provide technical clarifications.
• Build and maintain strong professional relationships with customers.
• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and service quality.

6. Site Survey & Technical Assessment

• Conduct site surveys for audits, testing, commissioning, and maintenance projects.
• Assess site conditions, electrical infrastructure, and project requirements.
• Collect technical information required for project planning, estimation, and proposal preparation.
• Prepare site survey reports and technical recommendations.

7. Team Handling & Resource Planning

• Lead and supervise technicians, engineers, and subcontractors at site.
• Assign responsibilities and monitor team performance.
• Conduct toolbox talks and ensure adherence to safety procedures.
• Plan manpower, tools, instruments, and consumables required for project execution.
• Train and mentor junior engineers and technicians.

8. Safety, Quality & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with electrical safety regulations and company safety policies.
• Conduct risk assessments before execution of work.
• Follow quality management procedures and documentation requirements.
• Promote a strong safety culture across all project activities.

Educational Qualification:

• Diploma / Degree in Electrical Engineering.

Experience:

• 2–8 years of experience in Electrical Testing, Commissioning, Maintenance, Energy Audit, ElectricalSafety Audit, or Project Execution.

Required Skills:

• Strong knowledge of HT/LT electrical systems.
• Understanding of electrical testing and commissioning procedures.
• Knowledge of Electrical Safety Audits and Energy Audits.
• Ability to read electrical drawings, SLDs, and schematics.
• Project planning and coordination skills.
• Leadership and team management capabilities.
• Strong communication and client-handling skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office and report preparation.
• Willingness to travel extensively for site assignments.
