Laundry Ironman

Job SummaryThe Laundry Technician is responsible for washing, drying, stain treatment assistance, steam ironing, garment finishing, packing, and maintaining cleanliness of the laundry work area.

The role requires attention to detail, willingness to learn, and commitment to delivering high-quality garment care.

Training will be provided on Clenzit's Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), machine handling, garment care techniques, and quality standards.

• Key Responsibilities1. Washing OperationsSort garments according to fabric type and colour.
• Load and operate washing machines.
• Use appropriate detergents and chemicals as per company SOPs.
• Follow wash programmes for different garment categories.
• Monitor washing cycles and ensure proper cleaning.
• Report any machine issues immediately.
• 2. Drying OperationsOperate dryers safely.
• Select appropriate drying temperatures.
• Prevent garment shrinkage and damage.
• Ensure garments are dried as per SOP.
• 3. Ironing & FinishingSteam iron garments.
• Press garments neatly.
• Fold garments professionally.
• Remove wrinkles and ensure excellent presentation.
• Maintain quality finishing standards.

4. Garment InspectionBefore packing, check garments for:

• Stains
• Damage
• Missing buttons
• Colour fading
• Loose threads
• Proper cleaning

Report any abnormalities immediately.

• 5. PackingPack garments as per Clenzit standards.
• Attach customer tags correctly.
• Ensure garments are clean and wrinkle-free before packing.
• 6. Machine MaintenanceClean washing machines and dryers daily.
• Maintain ironing equipment.
• Keep the work area neat and hygienic.
• Inform the Store Manager of maintenance requirements.
• 7. Chemical HandlingUse approved chemicals only.
• Follow safety guidelines.
• Store chemicals properly.
• Prevent wastage of detergents and consumables.

8. Store HygieneMaintain:

• Laundry area
• Washing section
• Ironing station
• Chemical storage area
• Packing table

Follow all cleanliness and safety standards.

9. Team CoordinationWork closely with:

• Store Manager
• Customer Service Staff
• Pickup & Delivery Executive
• Processing Team

Ensure timely completion of all customer orders.

• 10. Safety ComplianceWear company uniform.
• Use safety equipment wherever required.
• Follow machine operating procedures.
• Report accidents or hazards immediately.
• Handle customer garments with utmost care.
