Fabrication Fitter

• Structural steel fabrication as per approved fabrication drawings
• Fabrication of columns, beams, trusses, platforms, staircases, handrails, pipe supports, sheds & industrial structures
• Proper marking, measurement, cutting, grinding, drilling and fit-up
• Understanding of GA drawings, fabrication drawings and basic structural drawings
• Fit-up of ISMB, ISMC, ISA, plates, square/rectangular pipes and structural sections
• Maintain correct dimensions, levels, diagonals, alignment and squareness
• Plate cutting and preparation for base plates, gusset plates, stiffeners and connection plates
• Proper joint preparation before welding
• Coordinate with welder, supervisor and QA/QC team
• Rectification of fabrication defects as instructed
• Maintain good workmanship and finishing quality
• Follow workshop/site safety requirements
• Minimize material wastage and complete assigned fabrication work within schedule
• Candidate RequirementsMinimum 3 years hands-on experience in heavy/industrial structural fabrication
• Must be able to read fabrication drawings independently
• Good knowledge of measuring tape, spirit level, try square, grinder, gas cutting & fabrication tools
• Knowledge of structural steel sections and fabrication tolerances
• Experience in industrial sheds / PEB / platforms / heavy structures preferred
• Candidate should be disciplined and quality conscious
• Ability to work independently as well as with a fabrication team

Preferred ExperienceCandidates having experience in chemical plants, engineering industries, EPC projects, PEB structures, industrial sheds or heavy fabrication workshops will be preferred.
