Job Description
We are looking for a Fraud Analyst who can work at the intersection of fraud investigations, field operations, client management, reporting, and technology projects. The role offers hands-on exposure to the complete fraud investigation lifecycle and an opportunity to work on new-age investigation tools, CRM systems, and process improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate a network of field investigators from the office and ensure timely completion of assigned investigation cases.
- Assign investigation cases to appropriate field investigators based on location, case complexity, expertise, and workload.
- Maintain regular communication with field investigators and track case progress, pending cases, turnaround time, and investigation quality.
- Review field updates, evidence, findings, photographs, documents, and other investigation inputs received from investigators.
- Follow up with investigators to obtain clarifications, additional information, and supporting evidence wherever required.
- Analyse investigation findings and identify inconsistencies, red flags, fraud indicators, and potential risk patterns.
- Prepare and review investigation reports ensuring accuracy, completeness, clarity, and adherence to client requirements.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure cases are completed within agreed TATs and quality standards.
- Communicate with clients regarding case status, investigation requirements, clarifications, escalations, and reports.
- Develop a strong understanding of different types of fraud schemes, investigation methodologies, risk indicators, and verification processes.
- Maintain proper documentation and case records and ensure that investigation information is accurately captured in the internal systems.
- Identify recurring operational challenges and contribute to process improvements, quality enhancement, and automation initiatives.
- Work closely with management on new projects and technology initiatives designed to improve investigation operations.
- Participate in the development and implementation of a Fraud Investigation CRM and Field Investigation App in coordination with external technology vendors.
- Gather operational requirements from investigators and internal teams and translate them into practical technology and workflow requirements.
- Coordinate with external vendors during requirement gathering, development, testing, implementation, and issue resolution.
- Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) for new systems and provide structured feedback to technology partners.
- Help develop SOPs, workflows, dashboards, MIS reports, and process documentation for investigation operations.
- Work as part of a collaborative team and take ownership of assigned responsibilities while supporting other team members when required.
- Handle multiple priorities simultaneously and develop the ability to manage investigations, clients, technology projects, and operational requirements.
- Continuously learn and develop expertise in fraud risk management, investigations, insurance fraud, digital investigation tools, analytics, and emerging fraud trends.

- Candidate ProfileGraduate in any discipline; candidates with backgrounds in Fraud Management, Risk Management, Insurance, Finance, Investigation, Commerce, or Business Administration will be preferred.
- 1–5 years of experience in fraud operations, investigations, insurance operations, verification, risk, claims, banking, financial services, or related fields.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Good working knowledge of MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and basic reporting/MIS.
- Ability to coordinate effectively with multiple field investigators and stakeholders.
- Ability to follow up, question findings, identify gaps, and get things done.
- Comfortable working with technology and learning new software applications.
- Candidates with an interest in CRM, automation, AI, data analytics, or technology-enabled investigations will have an advantage.
- Should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Strong sense of ownership, integrity, confidentiality, and attention to detail.
