Senior CAD/CAM Programmer

We are a well-established furniture manufacturing company seeking a highly experienced CAD/CAM Programmer to join our team full-time.

This is a long-term position for someone with strong technical knowledge of furniture manufacturing, CNC programming, and production processes. We are looking for a self-motivated professional who can independently manage projects from design through to machine-ready production files.

Key Responsibilities

* Create detailed manufacturing drawings for furniture and wooden products.

* Convert design drawings into accurate, production-ready CAD/CAM files.

* Develop and optimise machining programs for CNC and 5-axis woodworking machines.

* Plan machining strategies, toolpaths, tooling, feeds, speeds, and production sequences.

* Work closely with our production and CNC operators to ensure smooth manufacturing.

* Identify and resolve manufacturing or design challenges before production.

* Maintain high standards of accuracy, efficiency, and quality across all projects.

* Manage multiple projects independently while meeting production deadlines.

Requirements

* Extensive experience in CAD/CAM programming for furniture or woodworking manufacturing.

* Strong understanding of furniture construction, joinery, machining processes, and production methods.

* Hands-on experience working with CNC and 5-axis woodworking machines.

* Proficiency in industry-standard CAD/CAM software such as Alphacam, Fusion 360, Mastercam, RhinoCAM, Aspire, ArtCAM, Powermill, SolidWorks, AutoCad or similar.

* Ability to create production-ready machining files with minimal supervision.

* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

* Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Preferred Experience

* Experience in manufacturing premium furniture, wooden doors, cabinetry, architectural joinery, or custom wood products.

* Understanding of tooling, machine setup, and woodworking best practices.

* Experience working directly with factory production teams.
