About the Role

We are looking for a dynamic Assistant Accountant (AP & AR Lead) with 5–6 years of experience, preferably in FMCG/Manufacturing, with international accounting exposure. Australian accounting experience is preferred.

The candidate should have experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) teams and ensuring smooth financial operations with accuracy and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Accounts Payable (AP):

Process supplier invoices, claims and credit notes

Match invoices with POs and resolve discrepancies

Handle expense & credit card claims, prepayments and reconciliations

Manage vendor payments and supplier reconciliations

Ensure timely invoice entry within month-end deadlines

Maintain and update supplier master data

Supervise and guide AP team members

Accounts Receivable (AR):

Process customer payments, claims, rebates and billing activities

Follow up on collections through emails and calls

Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies

Monitor non-payments, delays and irregularities

Maintain customer master data and pricing books

Assist in month-end closing and reporting

Oversee AR team operations and performance

Key Requirements

Degree in Accounting / Finance or equivalent qualification

5–6 years of experience in AP & AR

FMCG/Manufacturing experience preferred

Experience managing AP & AR teams

International accounting exposure preferred

Australian accounting experience preferred

Strong knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365, Excel & MS Office

High attention to detail and accuracy

Ability to handle high-volume transactions

Strong leadership and communication skills
