Job Summary Dr. Shoukat Ali Layer Eye Hospital is looking for a compassionate, skilled, and dedicated Staff Nurse to provide high-quality patient care in the ophthalmology department. The candidate will assist doctors during eye examinations, surgeries, and patient recovery while ensuring patient comfort and safety.

• Key Responsibilities Provide nursing care to patients in OPD, wards, and operation theatre.
• Assist ophthalmologists during eye examinations and surgical procedures.
• Prepare patients for surgeries and diagnostic procedures.
• Monitor patient condition before and after surgery.
• Administer medications, eye drops, injections, and treatments as prescribed.
• Maintain accurate patient records and nursing documentation.
• Ensure cleanliness, sterilization, and infection control standards.
• Educate patients and attendants regarding eye care, medications, and recovery instructions.
• Coordinate with doctors and hospital staff for smooth patient management.
• Handle emergency situations calmly and professionally.
• RequirementsDiploma or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (GNM/BSc Nursing).
• Valid nursing registration/license.
• Minimum 1–2 years of nursing experience preferred.
• Good communication and patient-handling skills.
• Ability to work in shifts and under pressure.
