Utility Field Executive

Job Purpose

To carry out accurate, on-time meter reading across the assigned route/beat using handheld devices, forming the basis for correct customer billing.

Key Responsibilities

•    Visit assigned consumer premises as per the reading route/roster and record meter readings using the handheld MRI device.

•    Capture meter photographs/readings correctly, flagging any meter faults, tampering signs or access issues.

•    Upload/sync reading data daily as per process and report route completion status to the Sr. Engineer.

•    Identify and report cases of non-access, locked premises or disputed readings for follow-up.

•    Maintain the handheld device and route documentation in good order.

•    Address basic customer queries on reading/billing at the doorstep and escalate where necessary.

Skills & Competencies Required

•    Basic literacy and ability to operate a handheld MRI/reading device

•    Attention to detail and reading accuracy

•    Physical fitness for daily fieldwork across the assigned beat

•    Basic communication skills
