Job Description
A barista is responsible for preparing and serving coffee, tea, and other beverages while providing excellent customer service and maintaining a clean, organized café environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve coffee, espresso drinks, teas, and other beverages according to company standards.
- Take customer orders and process payments accurately.
- Provide friendly, professional, and efficient customer service.
- Maintain cleanliness of the coffee bar, dining area, and equipment.
- Restock supplies such as cups, milk, syrups, and coffee beans.
- Operate and maintain espresso machines, grinders, and other café equipment.
- Follow food safety, hygiene, and health regulations.
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and special requests professionally.
- Assist with opening and closing duties, including cash handling and inventory checks.
Required Skills:
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic cash handling and point-of-sale (POS) experience.
- Attention to detail and consistency in beverage preparation.
