Job Description
Read order slips or use handheld barcode scanners to locate products.
Pull exact quantities and types of merchandise from shelves.
Check items for defects, damage, or missing parts before packing.
Select proper boxes, crates, or envelopes and add protective material like bubble wrap.
Seal cartons and attach accurate shipping labels or barcodes.
Move completed orders to the loading dock or shipping area.
Update inventory tracking systems when items are removed.
Restock shelves and organize warehouse aisles.
