VMC / HMC Operator

The VMC (Vertical Machining Center) Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring CNC Vertical Machining Centers to produce precision components as per drawings, maintaining quality standards and productivity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and monitor VMC machines to produce parts as per engineering drawings.
• Set up tools, fixtures, and workpieces on the machine.
• Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and job orders.
• Perform basic programming edits on CNC controllers (Fanuc / Siemens / Mitsubishi etc.)
• Ensure correct selection of tools and offsets during machining.
• Inspect finished components using measuring instruments (Vernier, Micrometer, Height Gauge, Bore Gauge, etc.).
• Maintain required tolerances and surface finish.
• Troubleshoot machining issues and make necessary adjustments.
• Maintain daily production logs and report to supervisor.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain machine cleanliness.
• Perform basic maintenance and report machine issues promptly.

Skills & Qualifications:

• ITI / Diploma in Mechanical / Tool & Die / Production or equivalent.
• 1–6 years of experience in VMC machine operation (freshers with training also considered).
• Knowledge of CNC programming basics (Fanuc/Siemens/Mitsubishi controls preferred).
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Hands-on experience with measuring instruments.
• Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
