Assembly Fitter

Jal Automation & Systems is looking for a skilled and dedicated Assembly Fitter to assemble Special Purpose Machines (SPMs), industrial automation equipment, and customized machinery. The candidate should be capable of reading engineering drawings, performing mechanical assembly, and ensuring machines are built according to quality standards and customer specifications. The role involves working with mechanical, pneumatic, and basic electrical components while following safe manufacturing practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Assemble Special Purpose Machines (SPMs) as per approved assembly drawings.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, GA drawings, BOMs, and assembly instructions.
• Perform mechanical fitting of fabricated parts, shafts, bearings, linear guides, motors, gearboxes, couplings, and machine structures.
• Install and align pneumatic components such as cylinders, FRLs, valves, and tubing.
• Carry out drilling, tapping, grinding, deburring, and minor fabrication work when required.
• Ensure proper alignment, leveling, and accuracy during machine assembly.
• Use measuring instruments such as Vernier Calipers, Micrometers, Dial Gauges, and Height Gauges for inspection.
• Conduct machine trial runs and rectify assembly-related issues.
• Coordinate with Design, Production Planning, Electrical Assembly, and Quality departments.
• Maintain assembly records and daily work reports.
• Follow 5S, safety standards, and company SOPs.
• Report quality issues, shortages, and improvement suggestions to the supervisor.
