About the Role :

Sofcon Training is looking for a HVAC Design & Drafting Trainer who can provide classroom and practical training to students in HVAC design, drafting, and industry-oriented concepts.

The candidate should have good technical knowledge of HVAC systems and the ability to explain concepts clearly through theory, practical sessions, drawings, software demonstrations, and projects.

• Key Responsibilities Conduct classroom and practical training sessions for HVAC students.
• Teach fundamentals of Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC).
• Train students in HVAC Design & Drafting concepts.
• Teach and demonstrate AutoCAD for HVAC drawings.
• Explain HVAC system components and their applications.
• Train students on ducting and piping design.
• Explain HVAC equipment such as AHU, FCU, Chillers, Cooling Towers and Pumps.
• Provide basic knowledge of VRF/VRV systems.
• Teach HVAC load calculation and basic design concepts.
• Explain air distribution, ventilation and duct sizing concepts.
• Train students in preparation and understanding of HVAC layouts and shop drawings.
• Guide students in reading and interpreting HVAC drawings.
• Conduct practical assignments, exercises and industry-oriented projects.
• Help students understand HVAC design standards and good engineering practices.
• Evaluate student performance through assignments, practicals and assessments.
• Guide students in completing mini projects and final-year projects.
• Maintain an interactive and professional training environment.
• Stay updated with current HVAC design practices, tools and industry requirements.
• Skills Required Strong knowledge of HVAC systems and fundamentals.
• Knowledge of HVAC Design & Drafting.
• Good working knowledge of AutoCAD.
• Understanding of ducting and piping layouts.
• Knowledge of HVAC equipment and system selection.
• Understanding of HVAC load calculations.
• Knowledge of VRF/VRV, Chiller, AHU and FCU systems is preferred.
• Good communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to explain technical concepts in a simple and practical manner.
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to handle classroom and practical training sessions.

Preferred Qualification:

Education: Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or related field.

Experience: Freshers with strong HVAC knowledge and practical skills can apply. Candidates with HVAC design, drafting, consulting, site or training experience will be preferred.

• HAP or similar HVAC load calculation software
• MS Office
