Job Title: Project Engineer - HVAC (Authorised Daikin Dealership)

Company Overview:

One of our clients, a leading authorized sales and service partner for Daikin central air conditioning systems, is seeking an experienced Project Engineer. Operating from Kharadi, Pune, the company executes commercial, industrial, and high-end residential HVAC engineering projects across Pune and surrounding regional sites.

Job Overview:

The Project Engineer will hold complete responsibility for end-to-end HVAC project execution, site coordination, installation oversight, vendor management, and testing and commissioning. This role involves managing field operations across various project locations in and outside Pune. A personal two-wheeler is mandatory for daily site travel and client meetings.

Key Role Details:

1. Position Title: Project Engineer - HVAC
2. Location: Kharadi, Pune (Office base with site execution across Pune and outside Pune)
3. Vehicle Requirement: Mandatory ownership of a Two-Wheeler with a valid driving license
4. Experience Range: 2 to 5+ years (Core experience in HVAC project execution is mandatory)
5. Education Qualification: Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
6. Industry Background: HVAC, Central Air Conditioning, VRV/VRF Systems, Chiller Plants, or MEP Contracting mandatory
7. Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Key Responsibilities:

1. On-Site Project Execution and Installation Oversight:

1.1. Lead the complete on-site installation of Daikin HVAC systems, including VRV/VRF units, ductable units, chillers, piping, ducting, and electrical interlocks as per approved engineering drawings.

1.2. Conduct regular site visits across Pune and outstation project sites to monitor execution speed, installation quality, and safety standards.

1.3. Coordinate with client project managers, civil contractors, architects, and interior designers on-site to resolve technical hurdles and prevent project delays.

Material Management, Quality Control, and Testing.

2.1. Prepare bill of quantities (BOQ), material requisitions, and track site inventory to ensure timely delivery of equipment, copper piping, insulation, and accessories.

2.2. Conduct pressure testing, vacuuming, gas charging, and full testing, adjusting, and balancing (TAB) procedures prior to system commissioning.

2.3. Ensure strict adherence to Daikin installation standards, engineering guidelines, and safety protocols across all project sites.

Vendor Coordination, Billing, and Handover:

3.1. Supervise site sub-contractors, ducting teams, technicians, and daily labor forces to meet daily project milestones.

3.2. Prepare measurement sheets, joint measurement records (JMR), site progress reports, and support the commercial team in client billing and variation approvals.

3.3. Complete system handover procedures, prepare as-built drawings, gather client sign-offs, and conduct basic operational training for client facility teams.

Candidate Profile:

1. Mandatory prior hands-on experience in executing HVAC, VRV/VRF, or central air conditioning projects.
2. Strong technical understanding of HVAC drawings, duct design, copper piping layouts, and electrical schematics.
3. Willingness to travel frequently across Pune and outstation project locations using personal two-wheeler for local site visits.
4. Good communication and site management skills in Hindi, Marathi, and basic English.
5. Strong problem-solving mindset and ability to manage installation teams under tight deadlines.

Selection Process:

1. Round 1: Telephonic / HR Screening Round (Experience and commute fitment check)
2. Round 2: Technical & Domain Interview (Evaluation of HVAC project knowledge and drawing reading)
3. Round 3: Final Face-to-Face Leadership Round (Final discussion with Business Head / Director)
