Manager - Nursing

Job Purpose                                  

Qualification:

Graduate; 1st division in 10th, 12th and GNM Nursing/BSc Nursing/M.Sc Nursing

 

Relevant Experience:    

15 + years of experience in field of Nursing, ANS is responsible for developing and supervising nursing services of a department or a floor consisting of 2 or more wards/units managed by ward in charges or supervisors

 

Responsibilities

  • Organizes and plans nursing care activities of the department according to hospital policy and service needs.
  • Plans staffing pattern and other necessary requirements of the department.
  • Compiles and submits nursing statistics to the concerned department
  • Conducts and attends to departmental and interdepartmental meeting from time to time.
  • Makes regular rounds of the department.
  • Sees to the general safety and cleanliness of the department
  • Oversees the comforts and needs of the patient and family.
  • Receives night report of the department
  • Evaluates nature and quantum of care required in each ward.
  • Oversees rotation plan for nursing staff within their jurisdiction.
  • Plans ward management with the ward in charges.
  • Reinforces the principles of good ward management in each ward.
  • Supervises proper use of and care of equipment and supplies in the department.
  • Obtaining consultant’s feedback regarding nursing care and take appropriate corrective measures.
