Summary:
As a Security Architect, a typical day involves designing and establishing a comprehensive cloud security framework and architecture that aligns with organizational objectives and performance standards. This role includes meticulously documenting the deployment of cloud security controls and overseeing the smooth transition of these controls into cloud security-managed operations. The position requires continuous evaluation and refinement of security measures to ensure robust protection within the cloud environment, while coordinating with various stakeholders to maintain alignment with business needs and operational efficiency.

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Security Engineer for Allianz Technology, owning Web Application Firewall (WAF) and Bot Management operations and improvement across the service perimeter.
-Configure and tune WAF policies to monitor and block malicious application traffic, leveraging appropriate deployment modes (e.g., reverse-proxy patterns and detection vs. prevention) and ensuring robust protection.
-Drive day to day run activities (analysis, remediation, continuous hardening) while collaborating with stakeholders to keep web-facing applications resilient against automated abuse and attack traffic.


Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Web Application Firewall (WAF).
- knowledge of web application security and the OWASP Top 10, along with strong HTTP/HTTPS and networking fundamentals
- Should have an understanding on how to configure and tune WAF policies, reduce false positives, and create custom security rules.
- Experience with log analysis tools, SIEM platforms
- Skilled in collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate security into operational processes.

Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 7.5 years of experience in Web Application Firewall (WAF).
- This position is based at our Pune office.
