Job Description
A Tally Accountant is responsible for maintaining financial records, recording transactions, preparing financial reports, and managing accounting activities using Tally ERP/Tally Prime software. The role ensures accurate bookkeeping, tax compliance, and efficient financial management.
- Key ResponsibilitiesRecord daily financial transactions in Tally.
- Maintain purchase, sales, receipt, and payment entries.
- Prepare and reconcile bank statements.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Generate invoices, vouchers, and financial reports.
- Maintain ledgers, journals, and cash books.
- Prepare GST, VAT, TDS, and other tax-related reports (as applicable).
- Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing.
- Monitor inventory records and stock management in Tally.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
- Support audits by providing required financial documents and reports.
- Analyze financial data and identify discrepancies.
- Required SkillsProficiency in Tally Prime/Tally ERP.
- Knowledge of accounting principles and bookkeeping.
- Understanding of GST, TDS, payroll, and taxation.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and MS Office.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
- Educational QualificationsBachelor's degree in Commerce (B.Com), Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Tally certification is preferred.
- Additional certifications in accounting or taxation are advantageous.
