Job Description

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
•    Provisioning: Deploy and configure Linux servers and VMware virtual machines.
•    Monitoring: Track system health daily using AWS CloudWatch and vCenter.
•    Troubleshooting: Resolve basic OS alerts, CPU spikes, and disk space issues.
•    Maintenance: Apply regular patches to Linux systems and VMware templates.
•    Automation: Write complex scripts to automate repetitive infrastructure deployment tasks.
•    Optimization: Analyze CloudWatch data to right-size EC2 instances and reduce costs.
•    Escalation: Act as the technical escalation point for junior team members.
Knowledge on AWS compute, Networking, Storage & Security

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
•    Education: Bachelor’s degree.
•    Minimum 4 years in a hybrid infrastructure administration role.
•    Certifications: AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, VMware Certified Professional (VCP).
•    ITIL v4 Foundation
•    Candidates who are confident of clearing extensive Background verification till previous Organization only shall apply

PREFERRED SKILLS
•    Infrastructure as Code: Basic exposure to Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
•    Configuration Management: Familiarity with Ansible playbook
•    Containers: Experience managing Docker containers or Kubernetes clusters.

Required Technical/ Functional Competencies

PRIMARY SKILLS:
•    Linux: Advanced troubleshooting, performance tuning, and kernel parameter optimization.
•    VMware: Managing vSAN, High Availability (HA), Distributed Resource Scheduler (DRS).
•    AWS: Designing infrastructure using Transit Gateways, RDS, and Auto Scaling.
•    AWS CloudWatch: Implementing custom metrics, CloudWatch Logs Insights, and automated actions.
•    Fluent in English, in both oral and written communication
•    Willingness to do 24x7 Rotational Shift, ability to working from office is preferred, location will be city with Yash Office.

DESIRABLE SKILLS:
•    Hybrid Cloud: Managing connectivity between on-premises VMware environments and AWS.
•    Security: Implementing IAM policies, security groups, and Linux hardening guidelines.
