Role & Responsibilities:

Commodity Risk & Hedging Strategy

• You design and execute hedging strategies for key input and output commodities — including metals, chemicals, and building materials — to protect business margins from price volatility.
• You work with Category and Finance teams to define hedge ratios, approved instruments, and risk limits, and review hedging effectiveness on a regular cadence.

Market Intelligence & Forecasting

• You track global commodity markets, currency movements, and macro-economic trends to anticipate price risk on key input and output categories.
• You build and maintain price forecasting models and dashboards that guide category, pricing, and procurement decisions across the organisation

Trading & Execution

• You execute hedging transactions — futures, forwards, options, and swaps — with approved counterparties and exchanges, ensuring timely, cost-effective execution within risk limits.
• You monitor open positions, mark-to-market valuations, and margin calls, proactively managing exposure across the hedge book.

Financial Reporting & Compliance

• You prepare hedge accounting documentation, MIS, and risk reports for the CCO and leadership, ensuring transparency on exposure and hedge effectiveness.
• You ensure adherence to internal risk policies and applicable regulatory requirements (RBI/SEBI/FEMA) for all hedging activities.

Stakeholder & Category Partnering

• You partner with Category, Procurement, and Finance teams to align hedging strategy with sourcing plans and sales commitments.
• You present risk positions, market outlook, and hedge recommendations to the CCO and senior leadership to support strategic decision-making.
