Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Lead Data Engineer to join our dynamic team in Bangalore. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in data engineering, with hands-on experience in Google Cloud Platform (GCP), BigQuery (BQ), and Apache Spark. This role is critical in driving our data initiatives, ensuring the efficient processing and management of large datasets, and enabling data-driven decision-making across the organization.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and architectures to support data ingestion, transformation, and storage.
• Implement and optimize data processing workflows using GCP services, including BigQuery and Dataflow.
• Utilize Apache Spark for large-scale data processing and analytics, ensuring high performance and reliability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs.
• Monitor and troubleshoot data pipeline performance, implementing improvements as necessary.
• Ensure data quality and integrity through rigorous testing and validation processes.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies in data engineering and cloud computing.
• Mentor and guide junior data engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

Mandatory Skills:

• Strong expertise in data engineering principles and best practices.
• Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services, particularly BigQuery.
• Proficiency in Apache Spark for data processing and analytics.
• Solid understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing concepts.
• Experience with SQL and data querying languages.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, agile environment.

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with other GCP services such as Cloud Storage, Dataflow, and Pub/Sub.
• Experience with data visualization tools and techniques.
• Knowledge of machine learning concepts and frameworks.
• Understanding of data governance and compliance standards.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Relevant certifications in GCP or data engineering are a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
