  • Large molecule- monoclonal antibody manufacturing
  • Conjugation
  • Fill-and-finish operations, including sterile filling and lyophilization
  • Final secondary packaging

The campus will be equipped with modern digital and automation infrastructure, enabling autonomous manufacturing powered by artificial intelligence. In addition, it will be designed for carbon neutrality, embedding sustainability into every aspect of operations and setting a new benchmark for environmentally responsible biologics' manufacturing.

We are looking for passionate individuals with proven experience who thrive in dynamic environments and bring a “make-it-happen” attitude. Joining us means contributing to a project that will not only transform AstraZeneca’s global supply chain but also advance life-changing medicines for patients everywhere.

If you’re ready to shape the future of biologics and be part of a once-in-a-generation project, we want you on our team.

Introduction to role:

Are you ready to lead a complex, high-performing distribution network that keeps life-changing medicines moving with precision, speed and care? In this role, you will connect warehouse execution to business strategy, ensuring the right product reaches the right place at the right time and cost—safely and compliantly. Your leadership will translate digital insights and operational excellence into tangible results for patients and the business.

As Associate Director - Warehouse Lead, you will own delivery across large or multiple markets, guiding operations in internally managed and outsourced distribution centres. You will set performance standards, develop Service Level Agreements alongside commercial partners, and build positive relationships with Freight Forwarders, LSPs and 3PLs. Can you turn data into decisive action on the floor and across the network, while fostering a team culture that delivers right-first-time performance?

Accountabilities:

  • E2E Strategy: Develop and implement a warehousing strategy aligned to the plant’s production schedule and global supply objectives, ensuring capacity, service, and cost targets are met.
  • Daily Operations Excellence: Govern day-to-day activities across receiving, de-palletization, sampling support, temperature-controlled and ambient storage, and outbound logistics to maintain flow and on-time performance.
  • Capacity and Layout Optimization: Optimize warehouse footprint, layout, and material handling to secure space for raw materials, consumables, WIP, and finished goods as volumes scale.
  • Regulatory and Audit Leadership: Ensure adherence to FDA, EMA, HSA and internal QMS requirements; serve as warehousing SME during inspections and drive audit readiness at all times.
  • EHS Leadership: Embed a zero-accident mind-set through training, standards, and equipment maintenance; verify safe behaviors and systems that protect people and product.
  • Inventory Integrity: Implement cycle counting and wall-to-wall physical inventory practices to achieve high inventory accuracy and rapid reconciliation.
  • Cold Chain Stewardship: Protect temperature-controlled regimes with monitored, alarmed systems; lead swift mitigation and root-cause actions for any excursions.
  • Loss Prevention and Turns: Partner with Procurement and Quality to minimize write-offs and manage rejected or expired goods; improve inventory turns and reduce variances.
  • Digital Systems Ownership: Serve as business owner for WMS and ERP (e.g., SAP/S4HANA), ensuring data integrity, seamless manufacturing integration, and reliable targets.
  • Automation Deployment: Lead or support AGVs, AS/RS, RFID and related technologies to increase throughput, reduce human error, and standardize processes.
  • People Leadership: Build, mentor, and upskill warehouse managers, supervisors, and specialists; foster an inclusive, accountable culture that delivers results.
  • Financial Stewardship: Own OPEX and CAPEX for warehousing; identify and complete cost improvements without compromising safety, quality, or compliance.

Essential Skills/Experience:

Degree level qualification;

Experience in managing teams;

Experience in logistics and/or distribution;

Knowledge of supply chain management principles

Desirable Skills/Experience:
