Windows Administrator Job Description
Key Responsibilities
Administer maintain and support Windows Server environments 2016 2019 2022
Manage Active Directory AD Group Policies GPO DNS DHCP and File Services
Perform server installation configuration patching upgrades and decommissioning
Monitor server health performance capacity and availability
Troubleshoot Windows OS authentication networking and applicationrelated issues
Manage user accounts permissions security groups and access controls
Perform backup recovery and disaster recovery DR activities
Implement security hardening and vulnerability remediation activities
Manage and troubleshoot Windows clustering and highavailability solutions
Create and maintain operational runbooks SOPs and technical documentation
Participate in incident change problem and release management processes
Coordinate with Security Network Database and Application teams for issue resolution
Required Skills
Strong administration experience with Windows Server 201620192022
Active Directory DNS DHCP and Group Policy management
PowerShell scripting and automation
Windows Server patching and security hardening
Troubleshooting of authentication protocols Kerberos NTLM LDAP
Knowledge of backup and disaster recovery solutions
Understanding of ITIL processes and service management
Preferred Skills
Microsoft Defender and Windows Security technologies
Cloud platforms OCI Azure AWS GCP
Experience
48 years of experience in Windows Server Administration
Experience supporting enterprisescale environments and missioncritical applications
Preferred Certifications
Microsoft Certified Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate
Microsoft Certified Identity and Access Administrator Associate
ITIL Foundation
