Job Summary
Amartex Industries is looking for skilled and dedicated ITI Fitter & Welders to support the maintenance, fabrication, installation, and repair of plant machinery and equipment. The candidate should have hands-on experience in fitting, welding, and preventive maintenance in a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform fitting, assembly, and installation of mechanical components and machinery.
- Carry out Arc, MIG, TIG, or Gas welding as per production and maintenance requirements.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and fabrication layouts.
- Fabricate, cut, grind, drill, and assemble metal components.
- Conduct preventive and breakdown maintenance of plant machinery.
- Inspect welded joints and ensure quality standards are maintained.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, grinders, drilling machines, and measuring instruments safely.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues and perform repairs to minimize machine downtime.
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain proper housekeeping in the work area.
- Maintain daily maintenance records and report issues to the Maintenance Supervisor.
Required Qualifications
- ITI in Fitter or Welder Trade.
- 3– 8 years of experience in a manufacturing, engineering, textile, or industrial plant.
- Freshers with strong practical knowledge may also apply.
Required Skills
- Knowledge of Arc, MIG, TIG, and Gas Welding.
- Mechanical fitting and fabrication skills.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and use precision measuring instruments.
- Preventive and breakdown maintenance knowledge.
- Basic knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics is an added advantage.
- Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail.
- Team player with good communication skills.
