Cross Delivery Project Excellence Senior Project Manager

Within GCO Private Cloud Operations (PCO), Cross Delivery Project Excellence Project Manager will be responsible for leading and managing projects across various departments in Global Cloud Operations (GCO) primarily in PCO, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and strategies.

The key tasks will be as following:

• Develop detailed project plans outlining scope, timelines/schedules, milestones, and resource requirements to achieve project goals.
• Drive the execution of projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
• Collaborate with key stakeholders to define project objectives, requirements, deliverables and success criteria.
• Establish and maintain effective communication channels to keep stakeholders informed of project progress.
• Work with resource managers to allocate project resources appropriately.
• Monitor resource utilization and make adjustments as needed to ensure project success.
• Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize project disruptions.
• Proactively address issues and challenges that may impact project delivery.
• Prepare and deliver regular project status reports to leadership and stakeholders.
• Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including lessons learned and best practices.
• Prepare and present comprehensive reports on project metrics, milestones and Key Performance Indicators.

 

What you bring:

• Proven experience as a Project Manager (12-16 years), preferably within a PMO; Project Management Professional (PMP) or other relevant certifications are a plus.
• Strong understanding of project management methodologies and best practices, and a broad knowledge in Cloud technology and delivery.
• Multiple years of experience in leading bigger programs/projects/innovation topics.
• Excellent communication (verbal and written) potentially up to C-Level and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment.
• Experience with project management tools and software.

The team manages and delivers projects and programs as part of the SAP GCO Private Cloud Operations portfolio by ensuring seamless coordination across different phases, from project initiation and planning to execution and closure, leveraging best practices in project management. This team is located across the globe with members in India and Germany.
