Technical Program Manager, Anti Financial Crime

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  
• 5 years of experience in program management.
  
• Experience leading technical discussions and plans.

Preferred qualifications:

• Strong technical judgment and experience guiding technical decisions and discussions.
• Demonstrated ability to own and deliver complex, cross-functional technical programs end-to-end.
• Excellent ability to influence without authority and drive consensus across engineering, product, and UX.
• Exceptional communication skills, articulating complex topics to technical and non-technical audiences.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

In this critical portfolio level role, you will take lead on execution and delivery governance across multiple workstreams. This portfolio is in the process of building cross-functional operating model maturity, with a focus on effective and efficient delivery at scale. You will have the opportunity to drive process improvements across cross-functional teams and work with stakeholders across different business units on their top compliance priorities, on some of the top priorities. To be successful in the role in addition to program management skills, you will need to have excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence and gain buy-in across various stakeholder groups of technical and non-technical teams across Google. You will be involved in all phases of the projects, including requirements gathering, planning, design, and deployment, through full integration.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to understand or identify defined work problems and program goals, obtain prioritized deliverables, and discuss program impact.
• Prioritize program goals, understand and translate other stakeholders needs into program goals and prioritized deliverables with minimal assistance, and contribute to decisions on prioritizing goals and deliverables.
• Define the scope of projects and develop, execute, or manage project plans for supported programs.
• Review key metrics pertaining to a program, monitor potential metric deviations, and define corrective actions for critical deviations.
• Identify, communicate, and collaborate with relevant stakeholders within one or more teams to drive impact and work toward mutual goals. Build, maintain and enhance business, operational, and management dashboards.
