Job Overview

As an SAP PP Principal Business Analyst at Collins Aerospace, you will play a pivotal role in transforming manufacturing and production planning capabilities through SAP S/4HANA. You will partner with business and technology teams to design, implement, and optimize Production Planning solutions that enable operational excellence across our global manufacturing landscape.

What You Will Do

• Lead end-to-end SAP S/4HANA Production Planning (PP) implementations, from solution design through deployment and hypercare support.
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into scalable SAP PP solutions aligned with manufacturing and shop floor processes.
• Configure and customize SAP PP functionalities, including MRP Live, Capacity Planning, Advanced Manufacturing Planning, and Shop Floor Control.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate SAP PP with modules such as MM, QM, SD, PM, IM/EWM, and FICO.
• Drive workshops, gather requirements, and recommend industry best practices tailored to aerospace manufacturing processes.
• Support system testing activities, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), training, and post-go-live stabilization.
• Troubleshoot production planning issues and provide effective solutions to improve business performance and user experience.
• Act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders and mentor team members on SAP PP best practices and emerging capabilities.

• Enhance leadership and stakeholder management skills by driving strategic initiatives across global teams.

Qualifications You Must Have

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related STEM field.
• 8+ years of experience in SAP Production Planning (PP), with strong expertise in SAP S/4HANA.
• Hands-on experience configuring and customizing SAP PP processes.
• Minimum of 2–3 end-to-end SAP S/4HANA implementation projects.
• Strong understanding of:
  • MRP Live
  • Capacity Planning
  • Advanced Manufacturing Planning
  • Shop Floor Control
  • Business Process Analysis
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA data migration and SAP Fiori applications.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Qualifications We Prefer

• Master's degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
• SAP S/4HANA Certification in Production Planning.
• Experience with multiple full-cycle SAP S/4HANA implementations.
• Knowledge of integration with MM, QM, SD, IM/EWM, PM, and FICO modules.
• Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA Fiori Apps and Embedded Analytics.
• Exposure to:
  • Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) Integration
  • SAP PP/DS (Production Planning and Detailed Scheduling)
  • SAP Digital Manufacturing
• Experience working in aerospace, defense, or complex manufacturing environments

Hybrid: Employees who are working in Hybrid roles will work regularly both onsite and offsite.  Ratio of time working onsite will be determined in partnership with your leader.

Remote: Employees who are working in Remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home).  An employee may be expected to travel to the site location as needed.
